Romans Session #3 - Justification
From our world's perspective, justice is served when people "get what they deserve." In fact, like Jonah, we often become angry when people are pardoned for their wrongdoing. Thankfully, God's view of justice differs from our own. Scripture tells us that we are all sinners, justified by faith in Jesus Christ to save us from the certain calamity that awaits us. We, like the Ninevites, are guilty of sin yet freed from the penalty we deserve so that we can live in fellowship with God. Justification is not getting away with our punishable acts, but being forgiven in spite of them. (video segment is 13 minutes)
