Promises Session #3 - The Davidic Covenant
The promise God made to Abraham was passed down to his son Isaac, then to Isaac’s son Jacob/Israel, and then to the twelve tribes who descended from Israel. The promise focused on one of the twelve tribes, Judah, and then was traced through the line of one of Judah’s descendants, King David. God promised David that through him God would raise up a king, the Messiah, who would reign on his throne forever. (video segment is 10 minutes)
