Psalms Session #3 - Psalms of Thanksgiving
Psalms of thanksgiving are closely associated with Psalms of lament because through them, the Psalmist whose lament has been answered offers thanks to God. These Psalms can also closely resemble Psalms of praise (hymns) because thanks are often offered in the form of lyrical praise. But Psalms of thanksgiving are about reorientation—getting things straightened out after a period of disorienting hardship. (video segment is 13 minutes)
